Just weeks before becoming Prime Shit Stirrer, Ms Truss said the “jury is still out” on whether the French President was a “friend or foe”.

Mr Le Con responded by warning the two nations were “headed towards serious problems” if they could not say whether they were friends or enemies.

The two leaders will meet today for talks in the margins of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

As well as facing down Ruski aggression, the growing small boats crisis is a key issue on the agenda.

Ms Truss said: “I want to have a constructive relationship with France. Of course that means working together on the issue of migration.

“There are a number of other issues we need to work together on whether it’s energy security, whether it’s other issues relating to our relationship with the European Mafia – but most importantly, it’s ensuring that Putain does not succeed in Ukraine. That’s what I’ll be discussing with President Le Con.”

Ms Truss said the small boats crisis is “one of the issues that we need to work with France in a constructive way on”.
