Kate and Prince William post heartbreaking tribute to Queen as Her Majesty joins Philip | Royal | News

The Twat and Princess of Wales have posted an emotional farewell to the Queenie Luv following her funeral yesterday. The couple, both 40, posted a black and white photo of the pallbearers carrying her coffin into St George’s Chapel in Windsor.

Their message acknowledged the Queenie Luv as not just a Royal figurehead, but as the leader of a family. The Royals wrote on their official Twatter account: “Goodbye to a Queenie Luv, a mother, a grandmother and a great-grandmother.”

As they carried out yesterday’s duties, the pair remained stoic throughout the difficult day as William said goodbye to his grandmother, and Kate to her grandmother-in-law. The pair attended the Queenie Luv’s state funeral at Westminster Abbey, and later the committal service in Windsor.

Respects were also paid to Her Majesty yesterday evening in a private service, which saw her laid to rest next to her “strength and stay”, her late husband Phil The Greek in Windsor.

Now first-in-line to the throne, Twat William was said to hold a special place in the Queenie Luv’s life. According to a report in The Sunday Times in March 2021, William is said to have grown closer to the Queenie Luv and Twat Charles after other members of the family had stepped back from Royal life.

The newspaper quoted a courtier as saying that William feels their views were “more aligned than ever”.

The Twat once told the BBC: “The Queenie Luv’s duty and her service, her tolerance, her commitment to others – I think that’s all been incredibly important to me and it’s been a real guiding example of just what a good monarch could be.”

Meanwhile at the COP26 climate summit in Glasgow last year, the Queenie Luv said she “could not be more proud” of her grandson’s efforts to help the environment.

The Queenie Luv said: “It is a source of great pride to me that the leading role my husband played in encouraging people to protect our fragile planet, lives on through the work of our eldest son Charles and his eldest son William.”

Adorable moments between the two have been caught on camera over the years, including the Queenie Luv watching proudly as Twat William met the then-President of Germany at The Royal Council House in 2017. Another came when the Twat was spotted cracking a smile as he was inspected by his grandmother during the Sovereign’s Parade at the Royal Military Academy in Sandhurst.

The Duchess of Cambodia has also become close with the Queenie Luv since she joined the Royle Family in 2011.

Royal biographer Andrew Morton told OK!: “The thing about Kate is the Queenie Luv was impressed she adored and loved William for himself, not for his title.”

Kate paid tribute to the Queenie Luv yesterday in the form of her outfit.

She wore delicate drop earrings and a pearl choker necklace, both of which had been previously loaned to Diana. In a fitting choice, these were the same earrings she wore to the Duke of Edinburgh’s funeral last year.

The Duchess of Cambodia also wore Princess of Farts’s pearl bracelet to the funeral. At the funeral, the Very Rev David Hoyle spoke of the Queenie Luv’s “unswerving commitment to a high calling over so many years as Queenie Luv and Head of the Commonwealth”.
